This page sets out our Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave policies.

👶 Primary Caregiver - Maternity & Adoption Leave

If you are pregnant or you have recently given birth, you are entitled to take Maternity Leave.

If you adopt a child, either you or your partner will be entitled to Adoption Leave. Adoption leave can be taken by either partner adopting a child jointly, regardless of your gender.

You are entitled to 52 weeks' Maternity or Adoption Leave. At Sensat, this leave is paid as follows:

👶 Secondary Caregiver - Paternity Leave

If your partner is due to give birth, you are entitled to take Paternity Leave.

At Sensat, you are entitled to 6 working weeks of paternity leave at full pay. This can be taken any time up until your child’s first birthday.

You may take this leave in up to two blocks. For example you could take 6 weeks up front or take 4 weeks when the baby is born and then a further 2 weeks later in the year.

🤰Time off for appointments

For antenatal or adoption appointments, both primary and secondary caregivers may take paid time off during working hours to attend these. Just let your manager know when you will be at an appointment and update HiBob.

🧑‍💻 While you’re away

This is an exciting and important time in your life so we will keep contact to a minimum, unless you request otherwise. You will keep your laptop and still have access to everything so if you want to be in the loop, that’s absolutely fine too!
